Finnish Baroque Orchestra
Händel: Fire and Water

With the three suites of the "Water Music" and the famous "Fireworks Music", the Finnish Baroque Orchestra presents a concentrated load of Händel hits, which in their mix of concise, catchy and festively sublime melodies in variable instrumental instrumentation already ignited in 1717 and 1749 at their respective London premieres. But this upscale baroque light music is not enough for the musicians of the internationally successful original sound ensemble from Helsinki: between Handel's stylized French and English dances, they make it trollishly haunting with witty, folkloristic pieces by their compatriot Viljami Niittykoski.
