Maria Ioudenitch. Stanislav Ioudenitch
Duo-Expedition

The up-and-coming young violinist Maria Ioudenitch and her father, the pianist Stanislav Ioudenitch, are not only closely connected as family members, but also maintain an intensive musical exchange. Beginning with Beethoven's last violin sonata op. 96, they then turn to Ravel's violin sonata, whose middle movement, known as "Blues", contains a jazz-inspired highlight. After the enchanting music of the Boulanger sisters, the song "Soleils Couchants" for violin and piano by Nadia and the dreamy Nocturne and the festive Cortège music by Lili, father and daughter move on to Bartók's first violin sonata, in which the tonal framework is quite crunchy - as it sometimes is in real family life.
