Maurice Steger. Emőke Baráth. Zurich Chamber Orchestra
Baroque at Speed

Wizard on the recorder, charismatic conductor, committed teacher and passionate advocate of early music: Maurice Steger is on the move in many musical missions - preferably all at the same time. And everywhere he goes, the spark of enthusiasm is immediately transmitted to his audience. Together with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and the Hungarian soprano Emőke Baráth, winner of the OPUS KLASSIK 2019 and an equally passionate interpreter of early music, the Swiss recorder virtuoso creates an exquisite programme of well-known and lesser-known pearls of the Baroque, arranging both arias and instrumental music into a sensual listening pleasure.

This concert will be followed by a talk with the artists and Anselm Cybinski in the Festivalzentrum.
